The Ransom County Driftskippers maintain 66 miles of state snowmobile trail in Ransom County. The Driftskippers are members of the Sheyenne Valley Trail Association and also members of the state snowmobile program, Snowmobile North Dakota http://snowmobilend.org. With the help of many good landowners we have many types of snowmobile terrian to offer. So come join us this winter and enjoy our beautiful trail system in Ransom County.

6th Annual

Ransom Retro Ride

This year the Ransom County Driftskippers will be holding their 6^th Annual Ransom Retro Ride. Hard to believe we are already heading in to our 6^th year of this great event. Last year’s event was even bigger then each previous year with about 130 participants showcasing their vintage snowmobiles. The event will be held on January 10^th, 2009 in Fort Ransom this season. We start the day out with a lineup of sleds on Main, the trail ride begins at 11am, a hot dog feed takes place alongside the trail followed up with some unique games, to finish up the ride we take it back to Thor’s for some awesome chili and door prizes.  For more details visit our Retro Ride Site at http://www.retroride.org

2009 State Ride

to be held in Fort Ransom ND

As State Ride quickly approaches I wanted to give everyone some details on the schedule of events we have planned for you.

• Friday February 6, 2009 – SND Board Meeting 7pm @ The Steak Out in Lisbon

• Saturday February 7, 2009 – State Ride to be held in Fort Ransom @ the Community Hall. Registration begins at 9:00am.

• Saturday February 7, 2009 – Dance to The Johnson Family Band @ Community Hall in Fort Ransom beginning at 8pm. KIDS ARE WELCOME!!

During the State Ride weekend Fort Ransom also offers their ever famous "Norski Days Event"  which is held throughout the whole weekend. Some events taking place in Fort Ransom that weekend: Ski Hill Contests, Biggest Air Contest, Amazing Race, Snow Sculpture Contest, and so much more.
